FINALLY after more than 2 years Samsung created A52 successor. It was so silly that both A53, and A54 were inferior to A52.
The starting price is way too high, but let's see how it wil ldrop in the comming months.

      Ok got mine A55 and I upgraded from A53, with 80 Euros cashback from Sasmung 256Gb model costed me 320 Euros, I would say quite fine considering I can still sell my A53 256Gb for like 120...so then getting an upgrade for 100 Euros is totally worth it.

        In Thailand launch price at 11th Mach was 13499 thb (~340 EUR) for 256 GB / 12 GB

          This is a perfect midrange phone, and the cons is not daily breaker like :
          - No charger in the box and not very fast to charge (you can buy original 25 watt fast charger only for 10 USD)
          - Unreliable fingerprint reader performance (still acceptable)
          - Thick display bezels (still acceptable)
          - The virtual proximity sensor for turning off the screen during calls is not as good as a physical one (still acceptable)
          - Expensive at launch (the price for 8/256 only 341 USD)

                        During the dawn of time(Samsung Time), we were told, "come brethren of the S series and gather close to our savior Master Samsung!" He and He alone will grant you everlasting life because you are all S series Flagship owners! WE ARE YOUR BELIEVERS, we screamed as we fell to our knees in worship!
                        Wow, I don't know about other S20 owner's but I feel like a lamb being led to slaughter. I guess I will be pretty good with some garlic, rosemary, thyme and a pinch of cardamon, nestled in a bed of celery, carrots and shallots! Never again Samsung! I'm purchasing an LG or a Pixel today. Then I'm FedExing my S20 Plus 5G to your HQ where it will be doused in lighter fluid and burned to a crisp! HEY S21 OWNERS, PAY ATTENTION BECAUSE YOU ARE NEXT! The implementation of planned obsolesce is moving right along according to schedule!

                            Don't buy Samsung mobiles. Samsung is cheating costomers. After security updates DISPLAY will get vertical lines. My humble request to all costomers don't buy Samsung mobiles.

                              Purchased a samsung a55 5g previous phone hauwaei y9 prime . The a55 5g is light years ahead .I love that I very rarely use the power button. Don't miss headphone jack. A great phone $799 in nz.

                                Barrowboy, 05 Apr 2024Surely it has a DAC. Maybe not a good one, but how else doe... moreIt doesn't. Same as the A54 (the A53 was the last phone to have a DAC).
                                Both the phones don't support Hi-Res audio with compatible, original, 3.5mm to USB-C adapter. And adapters that don't have a DAC doesn't work for this phone and the A54 too.

                                  They really ruined the A5X series did they? They were my go-to phone because of the size and how well rounded they were compared to Xiaomi (eww) or Oppo phones in that price bracket.

                                  Bought the A55, haven't felt a "big" difference between it and the A54 however the display size is homongous width-wise. Only lasted 5 days with this one before going back to the A54 and it's 6.4" display.

                                    Am back with the A54 and happier than ever because of the size.

                                      Got this phone a month ago. So far I'm totally happy with it. True, price at launch was high but I bought it from samsung directly and got 256 gb in price of 128 and it also came with cover and protective foil plus I used that trade in deal where I got 80 eur discount for giving up my 8 year old galaxy a5. I would say it was pretty good deal. Competition is strong but if you require lot's of storage memory via sd card than you have little to no choice than this. If you don't need the fastest processor / graphics available and care more about storage than I would totally recommend this phone.
