Great Escape Charters

My husband booked a Charter with Great Escape Charters. Captain Will told him on the phone the charter is $1,750 and he prefers cash. My husband paid cash. Captain Will told 2 other guests that he was shorted because the charter is actually $1800. But he wanted to make sure they tipped the deck hand 20% which would be $400. They each tipped individually and ended up tipping $340. Captain Will actually called my husband to complain about them not tipping $400 and that the charter was $1,850. Well if we put pen to paper 20% of $1,850 is $370. 20% of the original amount my husband was given is $350. He was very rude and ended up hanging up the phone. If he needed the $10 we would have been happy to venmo him money. But with the attitude he had we will not send any money. How does the charter amount change by $100? The tip was actually 19% of the original amount my husband was told. They did catch fish and had a good time but they did not get the 8 hours they paid for and after the rude phone call we would never recommend booking with captain Will. They had to fuel up and he tried to claim that as part of the fishing time.

My family charted a morning fishing trip with The Great Escape, September 2015. We had an amazing trip and were completely satisfied. Beautiful boat, we were well taken care of, even through "motion" sickness. Lots of fish were caught. This was our first family charter, wonder captain and first mate. We will be back again!!!

A groups of friends and I chartered this boat in late Sept, 2015. The captain did a great job! Capt Stewart got us on the fish quick, we actually caught our limit in about 2 hours of fishing. I was very happy with the experience of the Captain and the deckhand. I would highly recommend these folks - we've been deep sea fishing three times now - this particular charter was my favorite. I would recommend a max of about 12 folks though for the most comfortable fishing. We had 11 in our group, and we all had plenty of room.
