Phineas and Ferb - Where's Perry

The wait is nearly over: Next Friday, we will finally find out what became of Perry / Agent P and see how Phineas, Ferb, and the gang escape from literally hanging off a cliff. Yes, Part 2 of the so-far excellent Phineas and Ferb episode “Where’s Perry?” is coming.

Part 1, you will remember, saw Carl the intern accidentally made evil by one of Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s “-inators,” and subsequently had him (Carl) sing one of the best villain songs of all time — and I don’t say that lightly. Part 2 will see Major Monogram and Dr. D working together to stop Carl from taking over the OWCA. Will they be able to stop him without Agent P?

Meanwhile, while Candace struggles to figure out the status of her relationship with Jeremy following a somewhat ambiguous phone call, Phineas, Ferb, and the gang are scouring the globe for the missing platypus so dear to the boys’ hearts. Frustration leads to desperation, as you can see from our exclusive first look clip from Part 2 below — when Isabella starts getting pessimistic, you know things are really bad. Keep reading beyond the clip to learn about the new Gravity Falls episode, too.

OK, I’ve actually never said that before. But in this case I’ll stand by it, anyway: I’ve seen enough episodes of Gravity Falls to trust the people who make it to produce something bizarre, funny, and captivating.

The Phineas and Ferb episode “Where’s Perry?, Part 2” will air on Disney Channel on Friday, August 24, 2012, from 9:00pm – 9:30pm ET/PT. The Gravity Falls episode “Time Traveler’s Pig” will air immediately following, from 9:30pm – 10:00pm ET/PT. I know I’ll be watching, and DVR-ing for the repeated viewings my kids will certainly want.
