Ariana Grande, true to her song “7 Rings,” is “wearing a ring, but ain't gon' be no ‘Mrs.’” Not anymore, at least: As of Tuesday, her divorce from Dalton Gomez has been finalized, according to court documents obtained by the Associated Press.

Grande and Gomez wed in May 2021 in a ceremony in her Montecito backyard, and separated after two years of marriage, confirming via a rep in July 2023 that they were “quietly and lovingly working on their friendship” as they disentangled their lives and headed toward divorce.

The duo had a prenuptial agreement, and the terms of their settlement were agreed upon in October, but had to wait six months by court order before finalizing their split. Grande will pay Gomez, a luxury real estate broker, a one-time sum of $1.25 million, with no future alimony, as well as half the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home and up to $25,000 to cover his attorney fees.

Days after news of Grande and Gomez’s split became public, Grande scrubbed her Instagram account of almost all traces of Gomez, including their wedding and honeymoon photos, as well as anniversary tributes. She has since been romantically linked to Ethan Slater, who was nominated for a Tony Award for his starring role in Broadway’s SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical, and stars alongside Grande in the upcoming two-part film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked. (For those following along at home, Wicked the musical was based on the Gregory Maguire novel of the same name, which was inspired by the movie The Wizard of Oz, which was inspired by a book of the same name. What a rich tapestry!) In the Jon M. Chu-helmed films, the first of which is due to hit theaters in November, Grande plays Glinda the Good Witch, and Slater plays Boq, a munchkin. Only one of them travels via magical bubble.

Interest in the Wicked co-stars’s new romance is also high due to Slater’s circumstances: Slater and his wife Lilly Jay announced their own separation within days of Grande’s own divorce announcement. Slater and Jay have a young child together and were married for four years.

Grande’s representatives did not immediately return a request for comment.
