Who is Twiggy and how old is she?

Twiggy is an English model, actress and singer, who earned her nickname thanks to her thin frame when she was a teenager.

She was born on 19 September 1949 in Middlesex, making her 69 years old.

Her real name is Lesley Lawon, though she was born Lesley Hornby.

She began modelling in the sixties and quickly earned global fame after posing on the covers of Vogue and The Tatler.

In 1966, she was named "The Face of 1966" by The Daily Express.

She has modelled for Marks and Spencer since 2005.

In December 2019 it was announced that Twiggy would be recognised in the 2019 Honours List with a damehood.

Who is her husband?

Twiggy's first husband was Michael Witney.

He was an American film and television actor.

The couple married in 1977, but sadly he died of a heart attack six years later aged 52.

Twiggy married her current husband, Leigh Lawson, in 1988.

Leigh Lawson is a film and stage actor, director and writer.

They first met in 1984 before working on the film Madame Sousatzka together in 1988, they married that same year.

Leigh adopted Twiggy's daughter Carly, who took his surname.

The couple now live in West London.

When was Twiggy on America's Next Top Model?

Twiggy joined American's Next Top Model as a judge in 2005.

She remained for five seasons before she quit in 2007.

She was replaced by Czech supermodel Paulina Porizkova.
