While stunning family photos on Instagram might suggest otherwise, Abbey experiences the same parenting challenges as ordinary folk.

In this week’s episode of The Therapy Crouch podcast, which she co-hosts with Peter, Abbey discussed discipline, dinner times, and teeth brushing.

"This is a battle I face every single day," Abbey revealed.

"Last night was such a breeze because I thought, ‘Oh my god, they’re doing their homework, they’re eating their dinner.’

“You know, just to get them to sit down and eat.”

The mum-of-four went on to mention that her eldest boy, six-year-old Johnny, even stands up while eating his dinner.

“It drives me mad,” she said.

"We’re in a restaurant and it’s like, ‘Can I have your phone?’"

Abbey then questioned why kids "hate brushing their teeth so much", revealing that it’s one of the most challenging times of the day in the Crouch household.

Peter chimed in, saying their kids 'bizarrely' listen to him when told what to do.

"I don’t know what it is… it’s just an aura of discipline," he joked.

Abbey argued that the reason for this is because “nothing is important” to Peter and that he “doesn’t get stressed out when they’re being naughty”.

BICKERING

Ever since launching their podcast in January last year, Abbey and Peter have struck a chord with millions of Brits.

The relatable arguments, hilarious anecdotes on parenting and insight into their surprisingly normal lifestyle have been things the average Brit can connect with.

One thing they’ve been consistently open about is bickering and overcoming disagreements in their marriage.

Also in the most recent episode of their joint podcast, Abbey and Peter delved deeper into their bickering habits.

"We actually argue more when Pete’s away… bizarrely," she shared.

"We didn’t like to be apart - still don’t," Peter added."

Peter added that the pair “kind of bickered” when he had to travel around the country for football games, echoing Abbey’s sentiment that the pair don’t like being apart from each other.
