Already as a child in the late 1950s I was confronted by the art of Dali. It took me by storm. I thought he was God and a child at the same time. I was probably right. What I have learned later in life is that Dali was a multi artist , filmmaker, painter, sculpture, and actor as he played the Mad man but was in fact so inelegant he had long conversations on TV with Atomic physicists. Thomas Dellert is an internationally renowned Swedish painter and photographer who has taken part in numerous solo exhibitions throughout the United States and several European nations. His works are featured in the permanent collections of the Holocaust Memorial Museum (Washington DC), Heinz, Mercedes Benz, Absolute Vodka and the Swedish Royal Family, to name a few. Combining satirical and historical elements, Dellert mixes painting, collage and graphic art to convey both the deep darkness and shining hope of humanity.
