I believe that everyone is unique in their own way and that everyone's personal background brings a unique perspective. I aim to explore that perspective and help guide client’s in a place where they feel safe and comfortable. This allows for mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth. I create an individualized treatment plan for each client and help them develop realistic and attainable goals. Psychoeducation is an intervention I often incorporate and I tend to put an emphasis on coping skills, self care, and healthy boundaries, as they are all a very important piece of the healing and growing process.
Over the course of 10 years in the mental health field, I have had the opportunity to work with clients of various ages, genders, and racial/ethnic/multicultural backgrounds who have experienced an array of symptoms and diagnoses. I have worked with clients with diagnoses ranging from anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
Therapy can be a hard but rewarding process. I have seen clients flourish by learning about their symptoms, processing their trauma, and implementing goals that help them live their best lives.
