All is about stories and tales and why not about fairy tales... Hello, I am Jean-Baptiste Monge,
 and I have been creating traditional and digital Art for over 25 years.
 Let's go back in time a little bit : in 1996 to 2007 I was working for a
 French publisher on Faery books, but time changed suddenly and in 
Europe the publishing market was collapsing. So at 38, I was searching 
for a new way to live and for a new life. Being creative helped a lot 
and with my wife Margo we decided to embark on a crazy adventure in New 
Zealand with Guillermo del Toro. Unfortunately, the good juju was not 
with us and for some sad reasons I missed the occasion to work on the 
HOBBIT. New
 Zealand was not for us and as we had nothing to lose at this time, we 
swapped an idea of great adventure for another one and in 2010 we landed
 in Canada with just a few pencils and a wacom in my suitcase.I have started to work as a freelancer in a new continent, and believe me it was not easy at all! I
 worked on great projects as an illustrator and Character designer for 
big companies and little by little I was swapping my own work against 
something hidden in the vault of big entertainment studios with great 
expectations to be seen in the theatre but most of the time for projects
 that remained in drawers.I
 am living with my wife Margo and my two cats Banana and Minus in Canada
 in the Laurentides and I feel deeply in my guts that it is the right 
moment to share a new adventure, more based on my own work, I want to be
 focused on my art again, exploring new ways, sketching, painting, 
sculpting things about fairies and animals, wildlife and fantasy worlds,
 studies and teaching. By
