Here is the latest forecast data for cloud cover during the eclipse. It’s becoming apparent there are places for good viewing of the eclipse and not-so-good places.
The good news for Michiganders is the clearest sky is closest to Michigan. Normally we are socked in by clouds and probably thinking about a long drive to a more southern state. In Monday’s weather situation, the best nearby viewing will be in the northern part of the total eclipse path. This means Ohio, Indiana and Illinois will have some good spots for viewing the eclipse.
