On 03 January 2024, His Excellency UK Sarun, Ambassador of Cambodia to Egypt, paid a courtesy call and discussed with His Excellency Prof. Dr. Salama Gomaa Daoud, President of Al-Azhar University, at the Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. Both parties touched on strengthening and bolstering cooperation in the field of education, in particular graduate and postgraduate study. His Excellency the Ambassador also made a request to increase the number of scholarships for Cambodian students in both religious and scientific skills mutually beneficial to the two nations and peoples.
