Lake Placid High School

My name is Ashley Engle and I am in the Lake Placid High School 2019 graduating class. After high school I plan to attend Arizona State University to major in Sports Journalism. I have lived in Lake Placid my whole life with my parents James and Dee Engle. Sadly, both of my parents passed away from cancer and I am now living with my loving guardians Lori and Craig Ahlstrom. Through all my trials and my doubts I always chose to turn to the Lord no matter what. After college I plan to be a sports reporter for ESPN or the Golf Channel. With my degree I hope to spread Gods love within the journalism industry and to make a positive impact! I chose Arizona State University because they are ranked in the top 10 for the best journalism school in the United States. Moving out to Arizona is a BIG change for me, but I am trusting in the Lord to guide me in the right path and to show me new things out in a different area that Lake Placid couldn't show me. I am thankful for this town and all the people in it that impacted my life! Thank you for showing me that this is my home no matter how far away I may go!
