Free Underground Tour of Copenhagen: Vesterbro & Christiania

Overview of the tour in Copenhagen

We will start the tour very close to the Central Station, crossing it, we will enter Istedgade; one of the most popular streets in the city that takes us back to the history of social problems through the Red Light District.

The famous Radio Stejerne will be one of our stops, where we can explain the end of the Second World War and, therefore, a new beginning for this district that allows us to discover the B side of Copenhagen.

We will continue visiting several of the most emblematic buildings that are directly related to Danish architecture such as the Axel Building, the Glyptotek, and the Black Diamond. Without realizing it, we will have entered the Christianhavn district, to give the final touch to the tour in the famous community of Christiania.

We will finish the tour at the gates of The Free City of Christiania, but not before having reviewed this curious part of the city, its organization, and its residents.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: for internal reasons, guided tours are not allowed inside Christiania. We will go around the community explaining its history, curiosities, and development. We will finish at the door so you can access it and not miss anything.
