Professional Football Coach. He held the distinction of serving as the second head coach in Oakland Raiders' history. He received a scholarship to play collegiate football at the University of Oregon, however his studies were interrupted due to his service with the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Feldman saw action at Guadalcanal and received two Purple Hearts during his war experience. Following his return home, he enrolled at Stanford University, where he excelled at football and rugby. After graduation, he began his coaching career at San Jose State University and succeeded Eddie Erdelatz as head coach of the Oakland Raiders after a 0-2 start early in the 1961 season. Feldman compiled a 2-10 record and returned for the 1962 season, however he was fired when the Raiders lost their first five games that year. He was inducted into the Stanford Athletic Hall of Fame.
