Harry was raised in McCook and in 1930 the family moved to a dry land farm on the east edge of the Denver Airport. He married Carmelita Lybyer-Crawford on December 14, 1945. They moved to the Milliken area in 1947. He served in the military from November 1944 until July 1946 as a Gunner in World War II. He was a member of the VFW. He worked at Colorado Alfalfa Products in Milliken for 40 years. He enjoyed bowling and camping. He lived in the house he built until he was 90 years old.
Harry enjoyed doing word searches and watching the Colorado Rockies play. Together, Carmelita and Harry enjoyed taking trips in their motor home and bowling.
Harry is survived by his wife, Carmelita; sons, Don (Sharon) of Milliken and Gary of Aurora and daughter, Diana of Milliken; brother, Ben of Arvada; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol, his parents, five sisters and one brother.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
