This Morning got awkward again as Abbey Clancy was asked about sexual harassment in the modelling industry.

Today's (October 17) show was meant to see the Britain's Next Top Model head judge talk about the new series, but Phillip Schofield decided to also ask if she felt worried about sending the girls out to model after the show.

"I think definitely on our show, we put the girls in a safe environment and would never let anything happen to them," she responded. "It's a terrible thing that's going on, but it happens. I've never come across it personally myself, but hopefully it'll be okay."

Understandably the question seemed to catch Clancy off guard and she was measured in her response, but viewers at home mainly paid attention to the awkwardness of it.

Last week, This Morning's interview with Spectre star Christoph Waltz also took an awkward turn when Eamonn Holmes pressed him on the ongoing controversy about Harvey Weinstein's alleged sexual misconduct.

Although he was meant to be there promoting his new movie Downsizing, Waltz was quizzed on if he was aware of the unfolding stories about Weinstein.

"How can you not be? I consider this something that I don't need to contribute my two cents worth, the situation I think is more than blatantly obvious," he replied. "Anybody in his right mind would be repulsed by the behaviour, so if the thing speaks for itself, why should I add a voice?"

And despite Waltz clearly looking to avoid discussing the topic, Holmes continued to ask about it, as the actor added: "He was one of the biggest players, you're asking the wrong person – I'm an old geezer."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
