But while Cristiano Ronaldo was happy enough to pose next to a waxwork doppelganger at the grand opening in Madeira city Funchal, stunning girlfriend Irina Shayk went one step further.
Indeed, the sultry Russian model posted a fun snap on Instagram in which she leans in to plant a kiss on the lifelike model’s cheek.

Irina was on hand to support her boyfriend as Madeira’s CR7 Museum opened its doors to the general public.

Standing next to his 2008 Ballon d'Or and 125 other individual and team awards dating back to his Madeira childhood, the 28-year-old told reporters the CR7 Museum was a gift to his fans.
'Of course it's a special day, it's the opening of my museum and I am proud,' said the Portugal forward, who has scored 33 goals this season.

He added: ‘You can't win anything without sacrifice. Mine was to leave Madeira when I was 11 and try it out at Sporting. To move out to the mainland was the hardest thing in my career'.
Curious neighbours stood on their balconies to witness the ruckus, unusual on the quiet island with 260,000 inhabitants, famous for its luxuriant biodiversity, strong-flavoured bananas and fortified wine.

The footballer was later spotted with Irina – a Sports Illustrated cover girl – in the lobby of a local hotel, with Ronaldo wrapping an arm around her slender waist while they waited for the concierge.
Wearing a thick grey jumper and black skinny jeans the model couldn’t stop herself from hugging the footballer, and, from the grin on his face, he didn’t seem to mind.

The model started dating Ronaldo after they met on an Armani Exchange photo shoot in 2010.

Irina recently topped Maxim Russia’s Hot 100 Women list, an accolade that follows her first place in the Hottest Russian Women poll conducted by Complex magazine.
