DescriptionI picked this piece up as a birthday present for myself over at everydayoriginal.com I've been a fan of Dave's for a while now and while there are some amazing finished paintings, I really enjoy these more loose pieces a lot. This one caught my eye right away. I love the painterly brush strokes and the muted but rich colours, the touches of red and especially the highlight around the nose and lip. I am super happy I managed to snag this piece and hopefully it will be one of many.

I could see TOO MANY things I like and end up spending all my Big Wow and San Diego money! ha! Maybe I'll check out the site after the convention season is over.

Love how he painted the armor. And yes you need a good Manchess helmet painting!

Love the mood in the face. Gives a lot of character. But the confidence in the brushstrokes in the armor are supremely great. They pull together beautifully from a distance.

Really exceptional piece. Almost looks like she could be Joan of Arc.
