When Mai Izz El Din was young, her mother separated from her father but didn’t say goodbye to some of the teachings of Islam. Mai’s mom began engraving in her some of the religion's teachings, despite her own Christian beliefs. She was careful to make sure that Mai prayed and fasted.
Now that Mai is a full grown woman and a celebrity, she hasn’t forgotten about her past as she shared on the show "Ana Wal Asal" with Lebanese host Nishan.
Another interesting anecdote from the starlet’s personal history is that there was never a love story between her and Egyptian singer Tamer Hosny, despite suspicions of some, according to the Middle East news portal Elaph.
The actress shared that she and Tamer have very different personalities and they would never be a fit couple, but are very good friends.
Apparently, the hott songster was the first person to congratulate her on the success of her television drama "Al Shak" (Doubt), which is currently being aired, but before we read too much into his high praise, she also noted that many other stars like Amr Diab and Mustafa Shabaan congratulated her on the success of the series as well.
