Last September, Moog Music announced it was discontinuing production of the Minimoog Voyager, a synthesizer model it launched in 2002 as a successor to the original Minimoog synth. The original Minimoog, known in full as the Minimoog Model D (models A through C were prototypes), was in production from 1970 to 1981. Now Moog has unveiled the return of the Minimoog Model D. It says units from a "pilot-production run" will be built and sold at Moogfest 2016. The event takes place today through May 22 in Durham, North Carolina.
