Go down to the bottom of the gorge and have a lont trip along dry riverbed to the sea.
Start your descent into the Aradena Gorge you need from the Vardinogiannis bridge near the abandoned village Aradena. You have to go down on the rough-hewn stones, therefore please take comfortable shoes.
The road through the gorge stretches over 7 km and takes about 3-4 hours, depending on your training. When you are already at the bottom, pristine, wild Crete opens before you , where you can not hear the sounds of civilization, and there is only you and the spectacular cliffs hanging over you.
The route is not accessible for tourists, there are no stops with a cafe or toilets. In the middle of the road there is only one source of fresh water.
At the end of the path you go out on the coast of the Libyan Sea. Turn around back - and you'll see how difficult path lay behind you.
