Further leveraging the success of its hit property Phineas and Ferb and the popular character Perry the Platypus, Disney is launching a two-part summer TV special featuring the pet secret agent as well as online Perry-themed experiences, a mobile app and new retail licensees.

Where’s Perry?, Part One will premiere Thursday, July 26 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel first and then be available on DisneyChannel.com, WATCH Disney Channel and iTunes. Disney Channel will air the second part of the special on Friday, August 24.

From Friday, July 6, DisneyChannel.com will feature Perry-themed activities, including a new hidden object game called “Find Perry,” and beginning July 27, the site will provide an interactive map that geographically tracks the Perry the Platy-bus tour that will reach select cities across the US this summer.

The tour lets fans use augmented reality to interact with Phineas and Ferb characters, and if fans spot Perry in their city, they can upload pictures that could be featured on air and online.

Taking gameplay inspiration from its hugely successful Where’s My Water app, Disney Mobile Games has also launched Where’s My Perry?, a new mobile game for iOS devices based on Phineas and Ferb.

For consumer products at retail this summer, new licensees include Ready Pac (salads and refrigerated mini-meals), Crunch Pak (Flavorz apple slices), and Etnies (sneakers).

The new products and initiatives further grow the Phineas and Ferb brand that has already expanded into books, comics, DVDs, action figures, apparel, accessories, grocery, health and beauty items, a movie planned for 2013, a Disney Parks and Resorts’ live entertainment experience and a live touring stage show.
