Peter Crouch and his wife Abbey Clancy have been taking the podcasting world by storm recently after jumping on the bandwagon with their relationship-led podcast, The Therapy Crouch.

And according to one heat insider, it’s been a hit not just with fans – who have praised the podcast as a “must-listen” – but also in their marriage.

“Abbey is so thrilled with how her podcast with Peter is connecting to audiences and has credited it with helping save her marriage. She’s proud to have created a space where they can talk so openly and honestly,” we’re told.

“Early on in their marriage, she would never have dreamed of being so open. But their ability to speak candidly in the public spotlight is a testament to how rock-solid they are as a couple.”

Liverpudlian model Abbey, 37, and former England striker Peter, 42, have been married for 11 years, having first met in 2006. To mark over a decade of marriage, the couple further cemented their love by renewing their vows in the Maldives last month, with their four children – Sophia, 11, Liberty, seven, Johnny, five, and three-year-old Jack – celebrating the occasion with them.

And after Abbey lifted the lid on her marriage struggles in 2021 – confessing that she “hated” Pete before they welcomed their fourth child - we’re told that the podcast has reinforced the good place she and Pete are in, with the mum of four keen to use her wisdom to guide other couples through the trials and tribulations of relationships.

“She’s learned how you can get resentful in a relationship if you don’t speak up for yourself, say what’s on your mind and share your problems,” our source explains.

“After admitting publicly that she thought at one point that their marriage could be over – which was one of her biggest fears – nothing else really worries her. She hopes that their work helps other couples be more honest in their relationships.”

The podcast not only serves as a platform for advice, it also gives fans an insight into Abbey and Pete’s connection. They talk about their early days living together, as well as recall bawdy anecdotes, such as Pete shaving his balls over a plastic storage box. “Envisioning what position you must have been in while doing that… just blows my mind,” Abbey joked.

And as some friends raise concerns over their unfiltered content, a source says it’s water off a duck’s back where Abbey is concerned. Our source says, “Some pals wonder if there should be some things that are kept sacred and just for them. Abbey can hear what they’re saying, but she feels completely in control of it.”
