The Cliffs of Moher are among the more popular places to visit in Ireland. These dramatic seaside cliffs in Western Ireland feature a scenic coastal path with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Aran Islands. Running at the Cliffs of Moher makes for a memorable experience. The 18 km Cliffs of Moher path is among the most scenic and runnable clifftop paths in the UK. Runners can also choose a section of the 114 km Burren Way that goes through the area, especially the section between Doolin and Fanore.  We’ve also provided recommendations on some of the safest and scenic roads for running in the area.

A car is generally needed to get to and around the Cliffs of Moher. There are numerous access points, visitor centers, and car parks. Note that this is coastal Ireland, so it’s exposed — be prepared for wind, rain, and cool temps! Trail sections can also get muddy.
