Miu Miu Birds Fly onto the Highstreet

After the success of Miu Miu’s SS10 print-fest consisting of Birds, Cats and Flowers…they’ve given the print a swift re-vamp and now it’s made it’s return three seasons later.  The print of this season (so happy it’s September and I can stop referring to it as ‘next season’!) is definitely Miu Miu’s embellished swallows which are seen darting across the dress in their AW11 campaign (below).  As Zara discovered with the huge success of their Miu Miu-alike cat print TRF Dress (£19.99), which was a fast sell-out, creating copy-cat pieces of key collections is the way forward for the highstreet.  Zara, New Look and Warehouse are brands which have already hopped onto the swallow print bandwagon and ‘WOWZA’ have they done it with sheer brilliance!  Bargain of the season has to be this must have dress (below-bottom) from New Look which I first spotted at their AW11 press day.  The guys at New Look clearly have a self proclaimed sense of pride on this creation as it’s featured in almost every fashion mag possible.  The dress comes in at £24.99 and will be in stores later on this month.  Check out what Zara and Warehouse also have to offer on this huge trend of the season…
