Summary

Hewlett Packard model 9100A computing calculator, with model 9120A printer and model 9160A marked card reader. Made in United States of America in 1969 and purchased that year for $4290. The 9100A is a desktop programmable calculator with cathode ray tube display, it contains 3 display registers, 16 storage registers and a total of 2208 memory bits. Programs (up to 196 steps) are stored on magnetic cards. Printer uses electrostatic printing.

The Hewlett-Packard Journal in September 1968 described the calculator as: 'the 9100A is a programmable, electronic calculator which performs operations commonly encountered in scientific and engineering problems. Its log and trig functions are each performed with a single key stroke, providing fast, convenient solutions to intricate equations. Computer-like memory enables the calculator to store instructions and constants for iterative solutions. The easily-readable cathode ray tube instantly displays entries, answers and, when desired, intermediate results.'
