Remark
Nasreddin or Nasreddin Hodja was a Seljuq satirical Sufi, born in Hortu Village in Sivrihisar, Eskişehir Province, present-day Turkey and died in 13th century in Akşehir, near Konya, a capital of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum, in today's Turkey. He is considered a populistphilosopher and wise man, remembered for his funny stories and anecdotes. He appears in thousands of stories, sometimes witty, sometimes wise, but often, too, a fool or the butt of a joke. A Nasreddin story usually has a subtle humour and a pedagogic nature. The International Nasreddin Hodja fest is celebrated between 5 and 10 July in his hometown every year.
This 1/12 scale action figure of Nasreddin Hodja is based upon the character design of "Story of Effendi", a very famous puppet animaiton manufacturered by Shanghai Animaiton Film Studios in 1980. While being a perfect replica of the original puppet design, this figure also has a wild articulation range with up to 13 joints. What's more, with the aboundant supply of optional parts in this figure set, the figure can reenact almost all the epic scenes in the original animation, which makes this figure a must-buy to the fans of the original puppet animation.
