I've always been more interested in saving old materials than buying new ones. Once I first at the flea market or in the second-hand shop a bundle of various balls of wool that slumbered for a long time in an attic, another time someone gives me a handful of leftovers from the last manual work. Cleaned and sorted, they complement my treasures in the wool warehouse.
What are unusable leftovers for other people are valuable raw materials for me. They stimulate my imagination and so my unique pieces are created as a "fantasy of a thousand threads".
When browsing, for example, various pink materials come together – and in me the image of a princess develops. My knitting and crochet hooks create what the material offers me. And at the end of the creative process, there is a unique piece that combines sustainability and originality.
I am pleased to be able to offer environmentally friendly products in this way with my upcycling products at reasonable prices.
When children's eyes light up at craft markets when I meet my dolls or the accessories for the children's shop, it strengthens my motivation for new projects.

Immer schon hat es mich mehr interessiert alte Materialien zu retten, als neue zu kaufen. Einmal erstehe ich auf dem Flohmarkt oder im Secondhand Shop ein Konvolut aus verschiedensten Wollknäueln, die lange auf einem Dachboden schlummerten, ein andermal schenkt mir jemand eine Handvoll Reste von der letzten Handarbeit. Gereinigt und sortiert ergänzen sie meine Schätze im Wolllager.
Was für andere Menschen unbrauchbare Reste sind, sind für mich wertvolle Rohstoffe. Sie regen meine Fantasie an und so entstehen meine Unikate als „Fantasie aus tausend Fäden“.
Beim Stöbern finden sich zum Beispiel verschiedene rosa Materialien zusammen – und in mir entwickelt sich das Bild einer Prinzessin. Meine Strick- und Häkelnadeln lassen entstehen, was das Material mir anbietet. Und am Ende des kreativen Prozesses steht ein Unikat, das Nachhaltigkeit und Originalität vereint.
Ich freue mich, auf diese Weise mit meinen Upcycling-Produkten zu günstigen Preisen umweltfreundliche Produkte anbieten zu können.
Wenn dann auf Kunsthandwerkermärkten Kinderaugen leuchten bei der Begegnung mit meinen Puppen oder dem Zubehör für den Kinderkaufladen, dann stärkt das meine Motivation für neue Projekte.
